Upcoming events and Wray Flix News

We are all crossing our fingers as it appears the projector is OK again following a mini service. We plan to get a back up for the next film just in case though !  Please email with any suggestions for films, and if anyone would like to lend a hand putting up the equipment, chairs and refreshments please contact us, because many hands make light work of it.

Wrayflix news August 2008

One for the diary....We have just this morning had it confirmed that this film is available.

Prepare to see the lighter side of Mike Leigh.

Sally Hawkins is expected to win Baftas for this one with an impelling performance.

Wrayflix is back with "Happy go Lucky" a Mike Leigh film which is far more optimistic in outlook than previous films such as Vera Drake . Poppy ( Sally Hawkins) is a primary school teacher from North London and we follow the story of her new romance and tribulations whilst learning how to drive. This is a infectiously joyous romantic comedy about an irrepressibly cheerful young woman who won't let anyone or anything get her down.

All the best,

Wrayflix

We look forward to seeing you !

Just had some feedback that you would like to see Mamma Mia on our list of films.

We know and it is on our list... the only problem is that we can't get it for film society release until it has been on cinema release for roughly twelve weeks as a rule of thumb.just before the DVD release date.. its not even on the "available soon" list yet.. sorry.
Good things come to those who wait ... and we hope to bring this to you asap but it might be late November before we have you all singing along and wondering how Maryl Steep managed to do the splits !

All the best,

Deb and Wrayflix
